As of May 24, 2010, The DeWitt Dolphins Swim Club has earned USA
Swimming's Level One certification. To date, DWSC is the
only competitive swimming organization in Central New York
to earn the designation. The next closest team is in
Rochester.
The Club Recognition Program is a voluntary program to recognize
clubs that demonstrate a commitment to long term club growth,
development and stability. We met markers measuring business and
organizational success, parent and volunteer development, coach
development and education, and athlete development and performance.
Our club’s level of recognition is displayed on the USA
Swimming website in the club search section.
As a Level 1 club, we demonstrate basic competence and
achievement. We have a mission statement and budget and are a
legally established organization. We conduct basic parent and
volunteer education and provide opportunities for coach
development. At the athlete level, we encourage participation in
USA Swimming competitions and programs.
